What we’ve done for Unilever
Sustainable Living Plan
We acted as strategic communications advisers on the microsite which was developed for the launch of the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan – the company’s flagship programme which places sustainability at the heart of its business model. Our approach drew on a real understanding of the company’s business strategy, and emphasised the connection between its sustainability objectives and KPIs – so that its messages would withstand the strictest scrutiny from the global media, academics, investors and the public.
Unilever sees its annual report as far more than a statutory requirement: it is a core piece of corporate communication, viewed internally as the Board’s and the company’s ‘calling card’. Our role in helping Unilever tell its corporate story has included a high degree of editorial planning, with Claire consulting on objectives, messages, tone and style, and providing a team of four of Falcon Windsor’s network of writers to draft the front-end content up to and including the 2013 annual report.
In 2014, Unilever asked us to join their editorial team to provide ad hoc copywriting services. We work on a variety of internal communications projects, including strategic advice on corporate narrative, writing CEO blogs, advising on messaging for the new intranet, and a host of intranet articles.
